CSR Programme: Cat Beach Sanctuary Cleaning

7 October 2024 - [CSR Programme: Cat Beach Sanctuary Cleaning]
The UTP-ASEAN Student Association recently concluded a fulfilling Cat Beach CSR Programme on 6th October 2024, where our team of dedicated volunteers collaborated with the Cat Beach Sanctuary to support the well-being of rescued and abandoned cats. This initiative was driven by our members’ passion for animal welfare and community engagement. Over the course of the program, volunteers participated in various hands-on activities, including cleaning, feeding, and providing basic care for the cats, which allowed us to contribute directly to the sanctuary’s mission of rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming cats in need. Our team also organized a fundraising drive to help cover essential supplies, medical care, and shelter maintenance, amplifying the impact of our visit. Through this experience, members gained a deeper appreciation for animal welfare challenges and learned valuable teamwork and problem-solving skills. Despite some challenges in managing resources and logistics, the program’s success has inspired our association to consider more animal welfare-focused initiatives in the future. Overall, the Cat Beach CSR Programme highlighted the importance of compassionate community involvement and underscored our commitment to making a positive difference in the lives of animals and people alike.
