[27 August 2023 - Bandung, Indonesia]
As part of our Road to Bandung Programme 2023, held in conjunction with the ASEAN Youth Forum, the UTP-ASEAN Student Association (UTP-ASA), in collaboration with the FTIP Goes To School Team and Universitas Padjadjaran (UNPAD), carried out our CSR Programme Series 1 in the vibrant city of Bandung, Indonesia.
On 27 August 2023, we had the privilege of visiting Panti Asuhan Tambatan Hati, a local orphanage that provides shelter, education, and love to children who have lost or been separated from their families. The visit aimed to create a positive and joyful experience for the children, while deepening the spirit of regional solidarity and compassion among ASEAN youth.

Our delegation brought along gifts, snacks, and tokens of love from Malaysia, with hopes of sharing not just physical support, but also emotional warmth and human connection. The session was filled with interactive games, cultural sharing, song performances, and meaningful one-on-one conversations with the children. Despite language and cultural differences, what stood out most was the universal language of kindness, laughter, and care.
This CSR programme served as a powerful reminder of the role youth can play in giving back to society—regardless of national boundaries. By engaging directly with underserved communities, we were able to step outside of our usual academic and leadership responsibilities and gain a deeper understanding of empathy, humility, and social responsibility.
The visit to Panti Asuhan Tambatan Hati is only the first of many CSR engagements planned under our Road to Bandung initiative. As student leaders and global citizens, we are committed to carrying the message of love, inclusivity, and youth-driven impact wherever we go. We hope our presence brought joy to the children, just as their spirit and courage deeply touched our hearts.
We extend our sincere appreciation to FTIP Goes To School Team, UNPAD, and everyone involved in making this initiative a reality. Let this be a stepping stone to more collaborative efforts in shaping a compassionate and united ASEAN.
