[30 August 2023 - Jakarta, Indonesia]
On the afternoon of 30 August 2023, the UTP-ASEAN Student Association was privileged to engage in a special dialogue session with the ASEAN Youth Organization (AYO) during our Jakarta chapter. This session marked another milestone in our Indonesia trip, as we deepened our connections with regional youth leaders and explored new avenues for collaboration across ASEAN.
Held in the heart of Jakarta, the session featured an inspiring exchange with Mr. Senjaya Mulia, the Founder and Chairman of AYO, alongside Mr. Ahmad Afryan, the Managing Director. The conversation revolved around the shared vision of youth empowerment, regional cooperation, and grassroots initiatives that are transforming communities across Southeast Asia.
Both Mr. Senjaya and Mr. Ahmad shared their journeys in youth leadership and the impactful work AYO has been spearheading, from youth entrepreneurship to civic engagement and policy advocacy. Their experiences served as a source of motivation for our team, reinforcing the belief that youth are not just future leaders—they are leaders now.
The session provided an open platform to discuss potential joint initiatives, especially in areas such as sustainability, digital innovation, and educational outreach. The synergy between UTP-ASA and AYO reflects a shared commitment to building a more inclusive, connected, and dynamic ASEAN community—driven by young people.
This meeting also highlighted the importance of regional youth-to-youth dialogue, where ideas and best practices can be exchanged freely, igniting collaborative energy that transcends borders.

We would like to express our heartfelt thanks to the ASEAN Youth Organization for the warm welcome and engaging discussion. We look forward to fostering a long-term partnership and exploring impactful projects together in the future.
