As the sun set on our impactful journey in Bandung, the UTP-ASEAN Student Association (UTP-ASA) team set off toward the next exciting chapter of our trip—Jakarta, Indonesia’s dynamic capital city.
On 29 August, we bid farewell to the cool hills and warm hospitality of Bandung, where we had spent several fulfilling days engaging in CSR programs, educational visits, and international dialogues. With hearts full of gratitude and memories, we boarded our bus, bound for the bustling metropolis of Jakarta.
Arriving in the early hours of 30 August, our team wasted no time in embracing the energy of the city. One of our first stops was a symbol of Indonesian independence and pride—the National Monument (MONAS). Towering above Jakarta’s skyline, MONAS offered us not only a stunning panoramic view of the capital but also a deepened understanding of Indonesia’s rich history and struggle for freedom. The visit served as a perfect introduction to Jakarta’s cultural heart and marked the beginning of yet another enriching chapter in our journey.
This transition from Bandung to Jakarta reflects more than just a change in scenery—it embodies our commitment to exploring the diversity, unity, and resilience of ASEAN communities. From engaging with local students and institutions to discovering iconic landmarks, every experience continues to inspire our shared regional identity.
We extend our heartfelt appreciation to Universitas Padjadjaran, particularly the AYF Team and FTIP Goes To School Team, for their unwavering support, guidance, and hospitality throughout our time in Bandung. Your efforts made our experience incredibly meaningful and unforgettable.
As we dive into Jakarta’s stories, we carry with us the lessons, friendships, and spirit of collaboration that define this journey. Stay tuned for more highlights as we uncover the essence of ASEAN connectivity—one city at a time.
