UTP-ASEAN Student Association Leads Successful Blood Donation Campaign on World Blood Donor Day 2023

In conjunction with World Blood Donor Day on 14th June 2023, the UTP-ASEAN Student Association (UTP-ASA) proudly organized a Blood Donation Campaign in collaboration with Hospital Raja Permaisuri Bainun (HRPB). Held at Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS, this meaningful initiative was part of our continued effort to give back to the community and promote the spirit of compassion, volunteerism, and public health awareness among students.

The campaign saw an overwhelming response, with over 136 students registering to donate blood. By the end of the day, we successfully collected 79 pints of blood, all of which were contributed to the HRPB blood bank to support patients in need across Perak. The dedication and enthusiasm shown by our fellow students truly embodied the values of solidarity and social responsibility.

Through this campaign, we hoped not only to address the urgent need for blood donations but also to foster a deeper understanding of how small acts of kindness can lead to life-saving outcomes. It was heartening to witness so many young people step forward with courage and empathy to become heroes for those who need them most.
